Albert hader alt, hvad der har med Det Vilde Vesten at gøre – såsom dårlig hygiejne, elendige toiletforhold og alt for høj dødelighed. Heller ikke den mystiske fremmede, Anna, er tilfreds med normerne ude vestpå, men af en helt anden grund. Hvor Albert er en slapsvans, er hun hårdhudet og en selvstændig kvinde, men de kan mødes i utilfredshed.
