En rigtig familiefilm med veteranerne Michael Caine og Robert Duvall som to excentriske brødre, der bor på en stor farm langt uden for lov og ret. Hertil ankommer 14-årige Walther, som er sendt af sin mor for at holde ferie hos de to grandonkler. Walther oplever en masse på farmen og opdager snart, at onklernes liv har været fuldt af spænding, eventyr og mystik.
